Located in Bellevue Washington, SPB offers offset book printing in Asia (never China.) Our cost is reasonable and we provide higher quality and lower cost than in USA. We never print “on-demand” because we care about quality and unit cost. Save up to 70 percent. Get a same day ballpark quote, references, and sample books are sent on request after we provide a ballpark quote! The minimum: 1,000 hardcover, 2,000 soft cover or 1,000 board books.

Firstly, SPB curates a select cadre of printers and we print titles in high volume. As a result, we can negotiate lower offset book printing and shipping costs for self-publishers and small publishers. We maintain high-quality.

Volume … You will pay no more at SPB, because we print in volume, getting deep discounts.
How do we do that? We negotiate deep discounts and that is how we make our profit. Secondly, not only can our clients get fair pricing, but printers are anxious to work with us because we print many titles, and have volume business for years. Printers adjust pricing accordingly, plus we handle everything for our clients.

No China printing … Thirdly, and most importantly, we never print in China, the country.
The quality of products and services is not up to Star Print Brokers standards. Additionally, censorship can be a major problem. But, we do offer premium offset book printing with our select printers in Asia — but in other countries. We seldom print in the USA as the unit cost is higher, the quality is not as good, and we can offer more options with our select providers in Asia. We can send book samples to prove our quality.

Because we print many titles, we have leverage with our offset book printing companies that self-publishers simply do not have. We incorporated in 1999 and are located in Bellevue, Washington. References and samples available on request after ballpark quote is requested.

Star Print Brokers prints the highest quality books with real ink for offset presses, and in signatures. The signatures are folded into booklets that are almost always Smythe sewn together, if not sewn, they are glued. Self-publishers appreciate our paper quality. Real press proofs can only be printed on an offset press. We offer both digital output proofs which are included in quote, and press proofs which are an extra cost.
No POD (print-on-demand) output.
We never “output” single pages from an output device. We print on offset press in book signatures. Output pages use only toner, not ink, and toner smears when wiped with a moist finger. On-demand books are not bound in the same professional way as conventional book manufacturing. Press proofs are not an option, no matter what the provider says.
