Amazon prints books. We print better books.

Amazon Prints books, but did you know …
Amazon prints books as do other print on-demand service providers. Some books might print on press, but authors don’t have all the options available to them that Star Print Brokers offers. Nor do they have the expertise in color reproduction, or high-quality bindings. Page sizes, weights and finishes are limited. Digitally output books are always inferior quality to what we print on press.
You can say that Amazon prints commodity books, not high-quality books like we do.
Amazon prints, but …
A customer tells us that an Amazon rep says they are the only way to print books. That’s not true.
We always say, “Print with Star Print Brokers to get the best books at a reasonable unit cost. Certainly, sell your books yourself with an author page on Amazon, because they have the most web traffic.”
Where Star Print Brokers excels …
Amazon prints books, but what they do best is to provide potential web traffic. What Star Pint Brokers excels when printing the best quality books at a reasonable cost! That always means:
- high-quality books
- great book bindings
- emphasis on color reproduction of the files authors give us
- special attention and consultation with clients
- many custom options are available
- more book sizes, as there is no “standard”
- more paper weights
- customer service and consultation as needed
- low unit costs
- DDP delivery to door, unless delivery is CIF
- professional book design, if you need it (additional cost). We use InDesign.
- we print board books for babies in addition to hardcover, soft cover, and Wire-O books
Is this other printer misleading?
We saw an ad recently for “Book Publishing Experts.” The ad says the service could publish a book in a matter of a couple of days, and authors keep 100 percent of their rights and profit.
If this two-day printer prints in a couple of days, authors are getting print on-demand books, and books are output on higher-end devices similar to photocopiers. They are not getting books printing on press — ink on paper. They are getting smudgy toner. You get what you pay for.
Authors keep all their rights anyway, unless they go with a traditional publisher. But then, they are only getting royalties, not full profit. What goes into profit versus expenses? This all needs t be sorted out, especially when Amazon prints.
Authors can keep all their profits too according to this other service, but questions come to mind. The biggest question is how can you print a top quality book in a couple of days? You simply cannot. We do it right.
But, with Star Print Brokers …
Follow our process. With Star Print Brokers, not when Amazon prints, authors always keep 100 percent of their profit, and all of their rights. Plus, you just can’t beat our quality. We wouldn’t have it any other way! We design books too!
Distribution
If you use an on-demand service, do you actually get your book into brick-and-mortar bookstores, or just have access to those bookstores? If you have your own ISBN and barcode, you have access to brick-and-mortar bookstores. You are in the database already.
Celebrating the SPB anniversary – Since 1999! In November 1998, we first started planning Star Print Brokers. Our company incorporation and launch took place in January 1999. While very successful, we are so thankful for all our steady clients, as well as the many referrals. So, while Amazon prints, we know we do a better job!
Also, we want to thank you all!
