Our paperback books are expertly printed and bound. Printing is an art. Printing paperback books with ink on quality paper delivers a much higher quality soft cover book. Print on-demand places output toner on paper. It can smear! Inkjet is even worse. By comparison, the quality of our printing on offset press and use of different binding styles, will put any print on-demand soft cover book to shame. By the way, paperbacks are also known by the term “soft cover books.”

All our books have a laminated cover, in matte or gloss. Choose different paper weights and finishes for the text, and the cover. Bleeds are no extra cost. Heavy ink coverage is not an extra cost either. We include shipping, customs, duty, and DDP (delivered to door) in our quotes, unless stated otherwise. Self-publishers can choose to extend either the front cover, back cover or both, with French flaps.
Add a blind stamp or a gold or silver foil stamp. Would you rather have a bronze stamp, blue foil or a red foil? We have even more choices. We can also foil stamp the spine when the cover is stamped. The spine letters are in your typeface, not block letters. How about spot UV coating on the cover? We can do it!
All the paperback books we print and bind are custom manufactured. There are no standard sizes unless that is what you want. Star Print Brokers is also known for large format books. We print 12″ x 12″ and larger, or stay with that novel or trade book size you like best. It is up to you! We will give you the cost and advise you of the possibilities. Pages should never fall out of a book. Also, a book should not be so tightly bound that it is hard to open or to read the text next to the gutter. We provide guidance for when a book should be Smyth sewn, which is most often with us!
