Smyth sewn

We choose the best bindings and quite often our hardcover books are Smyth sewn.

Soft cover binding & custom options.

View soft cover examples. Wire-O books binding can be hardcover or soft cover.

Soft cover books, also called paperback books are quite often Smyth sewn.

Wire-O binding & custom options.

View Wire-O bindings here. They are not only bound as hardcover or soft cover, but they can also be a standard open spine, concealed wire or semi-concealed wire.

Some options include hardcover, (hardback), soft cover, Smyth sewn, lay-flat, Wire-O, coil, endpapers, spiral, board book, and saddle stitch. Saddle stitch simply means to staple. Star Print Brokers seldom does saddle stitch (stapling), as a perfect bound is virtually the same cost and is so much nicer.

We can also bind books as a concealed Wire-O in both hard case and soft cover books, as well as semi-concealed Wire-O, in both hard case and soft cover books. The semi-concealed Wire-O can be bound on the back cover next to the spine, but not on the spine.
