We are book print brokers. The majority of our business is printing high-quality, reasonably priced books in Asia for authors and self-publishers. We never print in China. Self-publishers should also know that we do not market or distribute books, and for good reason. Our minimums are 1,000 hardcover, 2,000 soft cover books or 1,000 board books. Our company prints on offset press, in signatures, and we only use the best pre-tested suppliers for printing and binding the best books.

While we often print minimum quantities for authors and self-publishers, we deliver full container loads too. Star Print Brokers also prints larger runs of one-color books, like novels. Black text novels printing at the minimum quantity, have a similar price or lower cost, when printing on press in the USA, however we provide higher quality with our select Asia printers than anything we have seen to date. Also, if the book in question is in process color, then our pricing is significantly lower than USA printing! We print children’s board books too, which is usually hard to find.
As far as going direct, printing in Asia is fraught with problems. There are ordinary printers, and then there are the best. As print brokers, we only use the best, as we have since 1999. Printing companies can change over time. We constantly reevaluate the vendors we use. After all, is there one printing rep who will say, “We are awful, don’t print your book here!” Obviously not.
We are amazed at how many books we receive to evaluate by overseas printers who think their work is wonderful. Often, their samples are not up to our standards. Most of our books are Smythe sewn too.
As true professional book print brokers, we can readily see the failed state of such overseas printers, including their printing quality, binding, and materials. We are so confident about our work, that we stand behind the books we print. Star Print Brokers represents only clients, not printers. In other words, we work for you.

Our staff really knows how to achieve accurate color and sturdy bindings; even lay-flat bindings. Lots of advice is offered if the client is interested. We can also provide book design if needed, as well as fixed-layout ebooks. Star is an authorized agent of ISBN, so we can sell a single ISBN and barcodes. ISBNs are always in the author’s or publisher’s name, not our company’s name. We pay no royalties, as the publisher (who is quite often the author) keeps 100 percent their profit.

Star Print Brokers, Inc. has tons of references and sample books. We will even put clients in touch with authors who had a problem with their books, so they can see how we took care of them. SPB was incorporated in 1999. Much of our business is repeat or word-of-mouth, as we don’t buy (or sell) lists or send out spam emails.
